In nearly
every town in the Granite State, a trail can be found for The hiking trails draw thousands of tourists each year, and yield spectacular views such as those seen from Crawford Notch, Franconia Notch, Mount Washington and the World-famous foliage views along the Kancamagus Highway. Most of the trails throughout the state are well marked and maintained by either the State of New Hampshire, the White Mountain National Forest or the Appalachian Mountain Club. We have paths for walking throughout the 100 acre campground. You can stroll beside a babbling brook, over hills and through the woods. Click Here to view a map of the walking trails. Some of the most popular hikes in our area include: Arethusa Falls
Note: The Forest
service requires a parking pass at
some of the more popular places. The $5/day or $20/year passes
are available in our store.
Protect the trail - and yourself from unneccessary slips and falls by staying on the designated path. Walking on the edge of a muddy trail breaks down the tread and creates ugly multiple paths. Swithchback shortcutting destroys fragile vegetation and may ultimately erode the trail away. Make minor trail repairs if you can or report them to the nearest ranger station.
